British puberty film for girls.
A charmingly straightforward discussion, primarily for a young female audience. Occasionally dated discussion of activities and management of menses. Approved activities include washing hair, bathing, bicycling. Narration includes numerous warnings to “avoid chill, “ suggests avoiding swimming and getting wet feet.

Live action scenes of young girl just beginning her menstrual cycle: choosing correct size and purchasing pads in plain brown wrappers and sanitary belt at chemist’s shop (or drugstore.) Scene of good nutrition uses basic in camera special effects: foods “appear” and girl is surprised.
Several scenes of swimming at a lake, with a concrete embankment. Mostly juveniles, one early scene with adult and young adult woman, to show body differences. Scenes of large groups of adolescent children, mostly female. Some scenes of school, “tea” shows girls in uniform standing around doorway, all with large white mugs, and playing field hockey.

Animation of menstrual cycle and gestation is about half the film.
